UK-based deep tech company Perception behind new collection that combines three
dimensional designs with non-fungible tokens
UNITED KINGDOM – Holographic-AR provider
Perception has today announced the launch of
the world’s first innovative holo-NFT (non-fungible token) art community
The Morpheus Project.
The platform offers a new way for artists to engage with their original work in holographic-NFT
form, converted into the company’s proprietary Holo-SDK software that takes 2D monitors and
turns them into vibrant and engaging 3D displays via affordable 3D red-blue glasses. NFTs are
computer files that are combined with proof of ownership and authenticity. They are similar to
deeds, only they exist on blockchain. The Morpheus Project is a custom-built community for
creative Holo-NFT artists, collectors, and traders to share thoughts, join discussions, and trade
NFT art with holographic effects.
Perception CEO Rabbit Kongsilp established The Morpheus Project in response to the recent
NFT market boom, which experienced a rapid increase in value from
USD 12 million in
December to USD 342 million in February. Using Perception’s Holo-SDK software, Holo-NFT is
a brand new, semi-tangible version of the technology which brings non-fungible token artwork to
life using Desktop Augmented Reality. Holo-NFT is unlike other 2D NFT artworks on the current
marketplace. The technology allows users to interact with the art in a multi-dimensional manner,
seeing the works in their true shapes and forms as if they are floating in front of their screens.
The project is generating significant interest, with over 100 3D artists already signed up as
members of the community, intending to make the most of the creativity and marketplace
opportunities the launch gives rise to. NFTs offer a brand new and highly lucrative avenue for
artists to sell their work, with demand growing at a rapid pace.
In 2020 the art sector had the
second-highest sales revenue within the NFT market. According to
Grand View Research, the
global augmented reality market is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate
(CAGR) of 43.8% from 2021 to 2028, while original NFT artworks are selling at record-breaking
prices, with US digital artist Beeple selling a recent work for
$69 million. By bringing AR to the
NFT art space, The Morpheus Project is delivering a new variation of 3D digital artworks in
holographic environments. The project offers a more immersive and tangible opportunity for
consumers to experiment in this newly emerging industry.
The Morpheus Project aims to advance this emerging digital art form before launching the
community’s artists into the rapidly growing NFT market. Artists who join the platform can utilise
the Holo-NFT Viewer software to convert their art into dynamic 3D models which are more
immersive and affordable than other NFT works available globally. Its ‘101 Curated Collection’ is
currently open for submissions to showcase a range of specially selected works to give
audiences new ways to experience digital arts.
Joining the ‘101 Curated Program’ presents a tremendous opportunity for artists interested in
NFTs to get their work out to the public. The program enables artists to expand their markets
while its focus on innovation using holographic-NFT artwork adds another dimension of
creativity to the sector. Joining the program ensures their work is featured on the marketplace’s
front page, and gas fees (payments made to compensate for computing energy) are covered by
The Morpheus Project. Making and submitting art to be converted into Holo-NFT formatting is
easy, and once artists join the program they can submit their 3D model in OBJ or FBX format to
be converted. Additionally, the project seeks to provide a community for like-minded artists to
get feedback on their work and harness their creativity.
The marketplace will open to the public in May. An “Early Pass” option is available for those who
want to sign up for the opportunity to win a Holo-NFT drop, gain access to the marketplace
three days before the public and get the chance to be among the first people to invest in a
Holo-NFT.
Commenting on the launch, CEO of Perception and Co-Founder of the Morpheus Project,
Rabbit Kongslip said:
“Our Holo-SDK software is the perfect fit for digital artists wanting to create dynamic works that
jump from the screen. We developed The Morpheus Project to help artists take advantage of
the NFT boom, providing a community for them to make Holo-NFT art and get constructive
feedback. In May, the platform will open up its marketplace where artists will be able to sell their
work as NFTs.”
Krisada Chaiyasarn, Co-Founder of The Morpheus Project, commented:
“We are so excited to launch The Morpheus Project today as a valuable opportunity for anyone
interested in NFT art to collaborate and share their creativity. By using our Desktop AR, we are
allowing participants to engage with NFT artworks in a more tangible and life-like way than ever.
Our aim with this community is to take advantage of Desktop AR technology to launch new,
exciting artists onto the NFT scene at this most opportune moment.”

About Perception and The Morpheus Project
Reality. The company’s Holo-SDK (software development kit) enables the creation of
holographic applications and is compatible with all desktop and laptop computers. The company
was founded by Rabbit Kongsilp in 2019 and currently employs over 10 people.
The Morpheus
Project was launched by Perception in 2021 as a brand new community workshop where 3D
artwork is experienced in its true shape and form. For artists, this space helps users to express
their artwork in their true geometry, enabling users to create a new kind of art for the audience
to appreciate. The Morpheus Project marketplace will launch in May 2021.
